I'm looking for a hotel with a pool slide, for DD6, for around $50.00 - $70.00 a night. Is this possible? Priceline had Sheraton Safari for 97.00 a night. I may just go with that, but was wondering if I could get something a little cheaper. Thanks for any help!!

When are you going, and how long are you staying for? In the offseason, you can sometimes get timeshares via SkyAuction for under $200 a week. Some of them have pool slides. Cypress Pointe has slides that end up in the pool (I think), although the slides don't have water running down them.

Have you checked the Sheraton Safari's website? I looked last night, and for nights in Sept. the rooms are going for $59/night. I think you could upgrade to a suite for $89 (sleeps 6). I'm not sure of the dates you're going, but if it is in Sept., it's a deal!

We're going Labor Day weekend. I know, not a good time. I might just have to take what we can get. Thanks for the replies!

I am looking for an affordable hotel for 6 and went to the Sheraton Safari website. Looked good until I saw the 79' python waterslide. I detest snakes in any form........won't be staying there.

As a child (in a family of 9 kids) we never had the option of staying at a disney resort so we always stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Parkway (i think that's it...definitely has "parkway" in the name and i't a radisson). It has a beautiful slide for the kids (and adults!), 2 large pools, and 3 or 4 jacuzzi's. my mom just stayed there a week ago with my younger sisters and she said the hotel is still beautiful. i believe it was renovated not too long ago. it's very close to the attractions too. i think my mom said she only apid around $60 per night. we have NEVER paid a lot to stay there--it's very reasonable and MUCH better than non-disney owned hotels on disney property. we've also stayed at embassy suites and enjoyed that too.

Never mind the slide - what about the jungle print comforters? :scared1:

This is a great post, because I'm thinking about leaving home early the Saturday before Labor Day to get to Orlando late that evening (so that I can check into WL bright and early the next day), and the only on property availability is ASMu suites at 190 a night. Um, I don't think so. Please keep the suggestions coming!
