Hotel upgrade?

Hi, we are planning on upgrading our hotel in febuary to a deluxe as we have to cancel our 2007 trip, so we have decided to use the money on upgrading the hotel to take the blow of canceling.

However we can't decide between the AKL Savannah room, Beach Club, yaght club, Poly or Grand Flordian. I am leaning towards the beach club or Grand flordian as we will only be there for 10 days and it will be good to be nearer the action. Which would you recomend.

I don't think the pool will be something to take in to consdioration so we want somewhere with a nice restuarant and atsmosphere, with good location and transport.

I really love the beach club/yacht club area - sort of "in the centre of things". The theming is very nice and in addition to having the restaurants and and bars at the hotel itself, you also have the ones at the Swan & Dolphin and the Boardwalk within crawling distance... In addition, all of those at Epcot are within walking/boatride distance... You are very close to Epcot and MGM and to the min-golf place.

The pool at the Yacht/Beach Club are also fantastic, but as you say, that isn't a consideration...

The others ALL have things going for them, but I don't think that you can beat the central Epcot location . I am sure that you will get replies recommending all of the hotels listed - Disney really does have someone for all tastes

I would go for the Beach Club - purely because of it's location. You have the Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin and all the Epcot restaurants within easy walking distance

Sorry to hear of your cancellation but i'm sure the deluxe upgrade will be a nice bonus for you Personally i'd choose AKL or Yacht/Beach (depending on my budget as there's a bit of a difference pricewise between these 2 resorts) because I love the AKL theming and Yacht/Beach have close proximity to Epcot and MGM, my 2 favourite parks. If I wanted proximity to MK (may be handy for you with your little girl) i'd choose the Poly

I agree with Boo, The Yacht/ Beach club would be my first choice, purley because of the location. Loads of bars, restaurants, and within walking distance to Epcot and MGM. Im sure the others are equally as lovely, but for sheer convenience and brilliant night and day atmosphere at the Boardwalk, Yacht/Beach for me. Good luck with whatever you decide, let us know

Sorry to hear of your cancellation .

My sister could not get september off school and I don't want to go with out her so we had 2 options of changing the date to october half term or canceling completely and useing the money towards are feb trip, so we decided to use the money to upgrade, so its not to bad at least I already have another trip to plan.

I think we are going to go with the Beach Club as I can't really se us spending loads of time at Magic Kingdom even with DD. we want to see the things unique to WDW.

I REALLY don't think that you will be disappointed... That will be a GREAT trip to look forward to

We hd a similar choice to make except the Floridian was just a bit to pricy for us. We chose the Boardwalk, the problem is I keep wondering if I made the right choice LOL!

Beach Club is a good choice, the location is excellent with the Boardwalk nearby and easy access to EPCOT & MGM.

Great choice!! As you can see from my sig I love the BC, we stay at the BCV due to DVC points but if we weren't staying on points I would still stay at the BC. I love just being able to walk to both Epcot and MGM which are my favourite parks.
