Hotel transfers?

Any advice or tips, for using the hotel free transfers.

My question is how do they work, do you have to stay at the park all day, or are will able to return for break during the day.

I think most hotels tend to run on different timetables.

For example when we stayed at the Sheraton Vistana there were only two pick ups in the morning and then a few choices at night and none during the day so you could stop back. So we ended up being in the parks all day which was fine but it made us switch to onsite for the ease of the transport options.

If you are staying at a Downtown disney resort you could walk to there and take a Disney resort bus and transfer from there to the park though that does take up a LOT of time to do.

Check with the hotel you are staying at it might be on their website. Or post the name on here and see if anyone has stayed there. Chances are someone will have.

The first time we visited WDW many moons ago we stayed at a hotel and used the shuttle service. We were picked up early in the morning as we were the first stop, even though we'd much rather have had a lie in, and were picked up at 18:00 on the dot or the shuttle would leave without us, even though the park was open till 9pm that night.

I think we put up with this for 2 days before we said 'sod it' and got a rental car.

Personally I'd avoid the shuttle services like the plague...

Staying at the Econo lodge inn and suites.

It's only the Disney days I'm concerned about as looking at I ride trolley

Can you ring them for a schedule? Also check where it drops you.

I checked the one where we are staying on I drive out of curiosity (was on the Floridays website) and 1st bus wont get you there until after rope drop and drops at Epcot only so you'd have to transfer on disney transport.
