Hi - I've got a question for anyone - We stayed at the HRH 2 years ago and are going back in May. How does everyone handle tipping the waitresses and the pool bar? I know they add on a gratuity, but should it be left at that? I feel bad not adding anything? :Pinkbounc

Thanks for any help!!!

I only give extra if they deserve it. I've had some indifferent service in the past. If she;s friendly and fast, I tip a little extra. $1 for every 2 drinks.

Or pretend to be English, like us, and act daft....we don't do tipping in England :rotfl2: (only joking) Agree with above thread...we are staying at HRH May 20th. What date are you going?

I didnt know that! What % do they add?

;) We will be at the HRH May 9 - 14. I'm not sure of the % the waitresses and pool bar add to your order, I just know that they did this 2 years ago! Does anyone know the %?

Last Sept. I took my fam. to DW and stayed at coronado resort. I had the dining plan, which everyone knows that tips are already included. I sat down for a Counter Service breakfast, the server did not bring my dds hot chocolate nor my water. I did not leave extra tip-he did not deserve it at all. He gave me a nasty look the following morning as I had my CS breakfast again, in the same place. He did not want to take care of us-he asked the person sitting us down to sit us in the other side. I was so glad he did. Our server was the sweetest lady, that loved my daughters and was great with us. I ended up giving her a $10 tip in addition to what she was receiving. She did not want to accept it because the tip was already included. I told her to make sure and mention to her co-worker that a little bit of niceness-goes a long way. My husband doubled what I gave her because she was soooo nice. I had breakfast at the same place with the same waitress for the remainder of my vacation. She was great. :rolleyes1
