What is your favorite, least expensive, closest choice for a hotel for a family of 4 for a WDW vacation? Thanks!

bestern western lakeside

that say my brother stayed at Motel 6 and it was okay. nothing special.

I would look into some of the hotels in Lake Buena Vista which is essentially Disney property. :cool1::banana::banana:

Buena vista Suites Orlando. Very nice rooms, free full breakfast a mile from DTD. I think they have character rooms also, but you need to check that. In Oct we made our reservation on Thursady before 10:00 am and got the room for $72

Any idea how far is this hotel from WDW? How long did it take to get to each of the parks from the hotel?

I've never stayed there but going by the poster who answered you I'd say it's about a mile from Downtown Disney.

Keep a check on the travelzoo website. Last year we got a deal for $32 a night at Comfort Inn LBV, which is right outside of Downtown Disney. I like that it has fridge and microwave! I am keeping check hoping the deal will come back up soon for upcoming trip.

I;m in a very similar situation -- we are a family of 5 -- own at the Boardwalk Villas and Beach Club - that's sorta what we are used to, but have no points left !!! Hate that. Anyhoo, looking to go from 3/24 until about 3/30 or 31st. I don't mind staying somewhere else but when you factor in renting a car to drive to the parks offsite, it's not really that different from staying onsite and using their transportation system. It's spring break and cars for a week run pretty high. My brother in law stays at Bonnet Creek all the time -- I want to be close to the parks, not miles, miles away. I would appreciate any input. Like I said we are 2 adults, 3 kids - 3, 10 & 12 we need some space :)

Try redweek.com if you like staying in timeshares. Timeshare Users Group is another one that runs rental ads.
