I am pretty sure I have seen a thredad about the off-site hotels hear Disneyland but I couldn't find it anymore.

Can anyone suggested a good hotels near DL within walki distance (10 min) with pools? We have a 7y.o. Boy and a 5 y.o. Girl.

Thanks.

We stayed at The Annabella last December. I think it was $85/night via AAA.
We had a new, remodeled room so it was quite nice.

Definitely walking distance to the park. It took about 10 minutes door to gate.

We have stayed at the HoJo and Park Vue Inn.

HoJo was a little cheaper (check on MouseSavers for a discount code) and had a nicer pool/water play area for kids, but is a little further walk. No breakfast included and no on-site restaurant, but there is a restaurant just about right across the parking lot and there are other options for food as you walk down Harbor Blvd. Rooms here are bigger.

Park Vue had a small pool and hot tub, but is a much closer walk, breakfast was included (it was decent - waffles, cereal, some hot items) and has bunk beds for the kids.

Neither one is what I would call "quiet" - HoJo is right next to the highway and the Park Vue is an older building that is not well insulated from noise. But regardless I would recommend either one - you really can't go wrong either way.

We always stay at the Fairfield, and are always very happy with it. The rooms are good size, comfortable beds, and clean. Always seems fairly quiet to me. I know they have been doing a lot of remodeling, but I haven't seen that yet (will be there next week), but didn't have any complaints before the remodel. The pool area doesn't look the best to me, it's small, but most people think it's adequate from what I have read on here, but we honestly have never used it.

We have stayed at the BW Park Place Inn which is right at the crosswalk, and we were happy with it. I should say that we like a clean room and a place to shower and sleep. The pool is outdoors and some people think it's small, but it served the purpose for us. The breakfasts were decent and offered: biscuits and gravy, cereals, fruit, juices, hardboiled eggs, pastries, muffins.

This last trip 3 weeks ago we stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites which is two hotels to the left of the crosswalk. The room was clean and had been remodeled. We had 2 Queen beds, fridge, micro., etc. and the pool was indoors which was nice for the end of October and night swimming. The breakfast is very minimal with cereal, danish, basic fruit, juice and coffee. This is enough for our family, but if you are wanting a bigger breakfast then you would need to add to it. The best part was the price! We paid, with AAA discount, $89 on Fri./Sat., and $59 the other days! For seven nights, our total bill was $585.00! That includes tax and resort fee. Parking is $8 a day, but we didn't have a car so they didn't charge us.

After having stayed in hotels that require a car or ART to get to DLR, now that we have stayed at the crosswalk, we will NEVER do anything else. It is sooo nice to be that close to your room and bed :rotfl: Hope this helps!

Every hotel/motel on Harbor that is across from DLR qualifies. They are all within 10 minutes and have a pool.

If you can be more specific you will get better reccomendations.

I can not say enough about how much we LOVE the Anabella! Love the pools, love the location, love the hard wood floors, etc. I also love that mot of the walk is downtown Disney. There is a huge difference between walking there vs across Harbor...I feel like I am already there!!!!

We just stayed at the HOJO w/our 8 and 5 year old kids just before halloween. LOVED it. Some complain of noise, and we agree if you stay in building one (we did that 9 years ago). We stayed in building 2, I believe, next to the garden pool. Beds were comfy, and my husband was impressed they had Protect-A-Beds on them (He's a total mattress snob, and liked the mattresses, too). We loved that the kid pool area was open until 9pm. We'd come back from the park after it closed around 8pm, the kids would hit the pirate ship area and we would chill in the hottub right there, too. True, there's no breakfast included, but if that's not a big deal to you, I would highly recommend the HOJO.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus - Anaheim Inn which is across the street from DL. It had a pool but nothing fancy, however if you have AAA you can get a decent rate.

We stayed at the Ramada Maingate for 6 nights earlier this month. We loved it. We had an advance purchase rate which came to about $80 (this included tax) per night. We have 2 adults and 3 children. The room had 2 queen beds and a roll-away bed.

The pool and hot tub have been recently updated and are very nice.

The continental breakfast in the morning was more than adequate.

The rooms aren't huge but I thought they were big enough.

The walk from the hotel to the security checkpoint was about 5 - 8 minutes depending on whether you hit the light at Harbour Blvd.

The staff at the motel were without exception very nice. I would stay there again.

We just stayed at the Red Lion weekend before last and it was our first time. We thought it was a good value for the price ($99 a night for the fireworks view and two queen beds, though there were no fireworks the night we stayed, but there was no way to know that since I booked a few months in advance). There is an on site restaurant that seems to get good reviews, though we didn't eat there, and there is a pool. It was a 10 minute walk to the gate and I would definitely stay there again.

We were at Disneyland the same time you were, and Touring Plans had predicted no fireworks for that weekend since we have been planning our trip in early September. However, I still couldn't believe there were no fireworks over the weekend.

I agree with Mike. The best pool for children is at HOJOs within walking distance. Ramada Maingate has a smaller pool in the middle of the property (and parking lot) with a remodeled spray/play area.
