Hotel Royal Plaza

Please tell me about this hotel in Lake Buena Vista....How far walk to Down town Disney? What view is the standard room? How are the rooms? How is the restaurant? How is the Bus service?

We stayed at the Royal Plaza Oct '02 ~ Me, DW, 2 DD's. The public areas are lovely as are the staff. The standard rooms are in the annexe, many of which face the parking lot and ground floor rooms can have cars parked right up to the balcony, so if you're on the ground floor request a pool view ~ ground floor pool view rooms get a little terrace ! I would definitely request a high (for the view) tower room though, they are lovely and have an extra seating area. We got a free upgrade when we complained about our first room. The hotel is quiet at night which is important to us with kids. I would stay there again for sure. The restaurant is okay, quite expensive, but we only ate there once. The take out pizzas are not nice! There's a bar and arcade area too. Pool area and pool bar are very good. This was the warmest pool we have ever been in! DV is a 10 minute stroll tops. They also have shared transportation with the other Hotels on the boulevard that take you to all the parks and run until late and the buses are frequent.

Did you get early entry or could you do E-ride night?

Hi

There is no early entry from any DD hotel except the Hilton.

I'm not sure about E-nights maybe with MNSSHP being on there were none in our two weeks.

If you email or call the front desk at the Plaza they will tell you for sure. I called with a couple of questions and they were very helpful
