Hotel Royal Plaza

I did ask this on another post, but in case they don't see it I will ask seperatly. Has anyone recently stayed at the HRP on DD boulevard? If so can you please let me know your opinion on the hotel. We are booked there for 6 nights in July before heading onsite. Thanks for any help.

We stayed there last December and we loved it!!! Please keep in mind though that this was our very first trip to WDW and staying onsite was not a priority or even a consideration. We are planning a trip back in December 2003 and hope to stay at the HRP again. It was very clean and large enough for our family of 4. We were upgraded to a room with a big jacuzzi tub, complete with rubber ducky. They were VERY generous with the Bath & Body works soaps, lotion, and shampoo as well. The staff was more than friendly. They called our room or stopped by each day to see how we were enjoying our trip and to see if we needed anything. Allthough we checked out on the 20th of December, they still left us a Christmas card in our room from the staff, something that brought a big smile to a very tired face at the end of a long disney day! They have refrigerators too. We ate breakfast each morning in the room and it worked out really well. It was a most incredible first trip and it all statred at check in at the HRP.

I spent alot of time on these boards planning our trip and reading countless posts to gain all the information I could to make this trip a special one. Words cannot express how awesome our trip was. My family could not understand all the hours I put in online, all the different files filled with stacks of paper work and notes, or even a vacation itinerary, that is until we got to WDW and I was able to put all my knowledge to use.

Thanks for the positive response. I am so glad you had a good time, we have been going yearly for a while now and still love the parks every time we are there. Neverending magic.
