Anyone ever stay in any of them, especialy an Executive suite?? Looks like it would be a viable option for a family trip (four adults). Any comments on the suites or hotel itself would be appreciated!

I booked an exec suite for me and kids for August through the 4th night free promo. It looked perfect for the 3 of us - DS could have the sofa sleeper. Now DH is coming for half the time, so we tentatively booked SSR for the day following our first (okay, complicated, but the first night is paid for with a nonrefundable deposit). But I don't think we NEED SSR (1 br villa) although it's nice to have the kitchen and washer/dryer. That all being said, the website says the exec suite is 714 square feet - that is quite large. About the same size as the Saratoga Springs villa actually, for less than half the price.
For 4 adults, unless a couple are small or very cuddly, they may not like sharing the sofa sleeper. I asked, and they don't have rollaways, so I'm bringing a twin aerobed for DD, while DH is there. My kids don't do well sharing a bed. I think they have bigger suites, but they told me the price was a lot more (I'm only paying $105/night plus we get free breakfast). The other suites were about triple that price.
My concern is the pool - does it get crowded? Are there lifeguards? I am concerned with the safety. But with the money we're saving, we may actually do a water park (never did one before with the kids, as the resort pools are always enough). I'd love to hear feedback on the pools.

We have stayed in both SSR and an executive tower suite in HRP. Although the square footage may be similar the differences in the two places are tremendous. I loved executive suite for just DH and myself but the rooms are small and not a lot of space for kids to run around. The bath is great though.
In SSR you have a kitchen and l/r combined. A very large master bedroom. A whirlpool bath with its own vanity and sink. In a separate room there is a shower and pedestal sink with small vanity and in yet another the actual commode. And a small entry way as you enter the the villa along with a closeted laundry facility.

I guess you have to examine price and space against what your real needs are and go from there. But, I would stay in either lovely places again anytime.

Thanks for the reply!

If it's only me and kids for a little more than half the time, I think I prefer the Royal Plaza (I also like the opportunity of 1. room service, and 2. movies on demand, rather than having to go rent them). I wish disney had movies on demand, but then they'd only be disney ones, which I wouldn't complain I guess. It's just the tv channels are lacking there.

I think to save over $150 a night, I'll still mull it over.

I was just thinking, is an Exec. Suite at Royal Plaza about the same size as a one bedroom villa at SSR? Still deciding between the two - no extra magic hours at Royal Plaza, but usually don't do the parks that many hours anyway. I like the movies on demand and room service option of RP though. Plus we get free breakfast, so I can fill the kids up for the day! But at the villa I'd just cook something quick anyway. Decisions, decisions... Any advice out there?

We just returned from a stay at the Royal Plaza. We had a deluxe
tower room. We had 2 adults, 2 teens and an 11 year old.
Two double beds and a nice pull out sofa. The bathroom was
also a large size. A large shower, large garden tub and good
counter space.

There is a view from our room!
