We just got back from our trip (8/9 to 8/16) and we stayed at Staybridge Suites, LBV. We LOVED this hotel! We had a one bedroom suite with a king-sized bed, and a pull out couch for the kids. The kitchen was so complete- it even had a dishwasher, toaster, and garbage disposal. And housekeeping did the dishes, which was a nice, unexpected surpise. the laundry facility was right by the pool, which was great. My dh and the kids were swimming and I just popped into the laundry room to change loads. I brought home clean folded clothes and just popped them right back into the dressers.

The best part about this hotel is that they try to feed you for free everytime you turn around! LOL The free breakfast is wonderful- much more than continental. They had the requisite cereal, fruit and pastries, but they also had scrambled eggs (regular, and with peppers/onions) a different hot meat item (bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, hashbrowns) every morning, plus toast, waffles, bagels, muffins, jucie, etc- all FREE!! We chowed until we could chow no more every morning, and then we were able to last until 4 o'clock or so before we needed anything to eat, even our girls (ages 5 and 6). Also, from Tue- Thurs they have a free "sundowners Reception", with free beer, wine and pop, plus a different hot "appetizer" (which was more like a meal). We had chicken wings & salad, hot dogs & hamburgers, and ravioli & mac & cheese while we were there. Nice!!

But get THIS! My dd turned five while we were there. We went back to the room after breakfast on her b-day, and there was a big plate of cookies with a card and a Cinderella sticker inside. We could not for the life of us figure out who sent it. Finally my dh remembered that he very casually menioned it to the clerk at the front desk when he checked in. How sweet is that?? The cutest thing though is that my DD is convinced that Cinderella baked the cookies and left them there for her (because of the sticker) so we let her believe that. princess: Disney Magic in an off-site hotel!

All this for just $99 a night! We will absolutely stay here again. We went to Winn Dixie right behind the hotel and bought PB&J fixings and snacks for our "off" days. We also bought a huge cas eof bottled water and froze them to take with us into the parks, and every security guard who checked our bags told us how smart we were. It really saved us! It was a very short drive to Disney. Anyone planning to stay here should be thrilled with their choice!

We stayed there in '03 (Summerfield suites then) a 2 bedroom for 3 of us-there had been a mix up on reservations ,there were actually 6 of us & instead of 1 2bed,we had been allocated 2!! For the same price.
The King bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on & was that big ,we needed walkie talkies to talk to each other!
Hotel staff were very friendly & always helpful & as mentioned -the room cleaner filled the dishwasher every day>
Would definately stay there again

YEAH! :Pinkbounc Thank you for posting we are going 10/15-10/22 and that is where we are staying! It me, DH, DD3 and MIL. Now you got me all happy and excited!

Is the pull out couch okay? It's not horrible is it?

Thank you!

Thank you very much for posting! Glad you had such a nice stay there. We stayed at Cypress Pointe next door and I looked at the Staybridge every time we passed by...thinking it might be a good option in the future. I've watched the price of CP inch up as it seems to have increased in popularity, especially after their renovations. Sounds as though you got a nice rate at Staybridge too. :)

We also stayed there when it was Staybridge and really liked it. I like the location, and we could walk to get pizza next door (Domino's?) and Winn Dixie was right there, as well as lots of other restaurants, Walgreen's, etc. I think we paid about $89 for a 2 BR, great deal. It was great for families...but now I have found DVC!

I'm going to be staying at the one on international dr over Labor DAY weekend I hope it is just as good. What time do they have the sundowner in the evening?

I'm so glad you had a great time. And how special is that about your DD's b-day. That's terrific!!

We love that section of town........we will be at CP and Vistana in Dec.

Again, glad it was a good off-site trip. :sunny:

:) Does the hotel offer a complimentary shuttle to Walt Disney World or Universal Studios? If so, do you recall what the schedule was like? Sounds like a great place to stay. :) Thanks for your review!

We have stayed here and Staybridge Suites in other areas (Minneapolis, Austin) and have loved every stay. Our expectations were always filled - and then some. Can't say enough about these hotels.

Just answering some questions:
Ava (I love that name BTW, and it's what I will name my next baby if I ever have another one) I'm glad I got you excited about it! The pull out couch was very nice. We didn't sleep in it, but the kids did just fine. We left it pulled out everyday, and housekeeping had it all nicely made up with the sheets and blankets each day.

Karen- I think the Sundowner's reception was from 5:30 to 7 pm? Both my dh and I thought it would be a few token pieces of food that would be gone after 20 minutes, but nope! They kept refilling everything right up until 7 pm.

tlynk- they do offer free shuttles to Disney (not sure about Universal? But I would think so). I don't know anything about this because we rented a car. If memory serves me, I think I may have read on trip advisor that the shuttles were very slow and picked up several hotels.
Hope this helps!

Hi! Thank you for the info! I am still excited!

Ava is my DD's name and she lives up to it..already she is only 3

I am so glad to read this review, we are staying there the end of September/early October and I had heard it wsa nice but it sounds better than nice.

Thanks so much for letting us know.

Thank you! I'll have to read reviews on tripadvisor about the shuttle. We would depend on it quite a bit. I think my best bet would be to stay on Disney property. The hotel does sound wonderful though! ;)
