We are AP holders and most of our trips are on the budget. We drive down and stay in the cheapest "decent" rooms we can get to accomodate our group.

Our theory is we only sleep and shower in the room so as long as it is clean and within walking distance that is pretty much all we care about.

DH and I have decided to do a special grownups trip next December.

We are going to try and get a meal package for candlight proc and want to do the napa rose. So that right there is going to cost a mint and since it is just the two of us we also plan to fly.

I would REALLY like to make it special and would love to stay in a DLH but was wondering what kind of discounts can be had.

WE have deluxe AP's but by then mine will be converted to a premium.

Does anyone know the best deals you can get on any of the 3 properties? I wouldn't want to spend more than 100 to maybe 120 max per night.

Can you even GET deals for cheaper? I know the GCH is probably way out of range but I got rooms at the DLH for 140 a night on expedia before and that was during August so somewhat high season.

I don't know if they consider the first weekend of DEC high season or not because of CP.

We don't HAVE to stay at one of the park properties just thought it would be nice.

So all you pro's at finding great deals let me know the tricks cuz I am SURE I am not familiar with all of them.

THANKS!! :)

I have not seen many deals on DLR hotels for AP's or otherwise. Usually when this topic has been brought up, that seems to be the way it goes. That's not to say there are never deals. They have the stay three nights get the 4th night free promo. Or maybe there'll be a really great deal on airfare :) and you can splurge a little more on the hotel. Either way they usually don't release the deals until a few months before the date. I would keep an eye out here and at mousesavers.com.

I do think that the first couples weeks of Dec is considered the low season, so maybe there'll be some deals to be had. Good luck and happy hunting! :) I would love to surprise DH with a trip to DL the first week of Dec. It would be a great b-day present for him :)

Thanks. I didn't think there were too many. I will just have to check around end of summer I guess.

Yeah, like right now you can get the PP for $129 a night, but after taxes and resort fees, it's more like $150 so a bit above your budget. I have not seen the great $89 rates we used to get since the beginning of 2005 before the 50th! You never know, but I wouldn't count on anything under $120!
