Just trying to help a friend with research: So we are going to DL the first week of October and staying at GCH. Some friends will be going at the same time but staying somewhere else. Any recommendations for a family of 6? It will be 2 adults, 2 teens, an 11 year old and a 9 year old.

Desert Inn and Suites is across the street and has suites that can accommodate a family of six or more.

The new Homewood Suites Convention Center is a bit farther but has suites also.

The Courtyard Theme Park entrance is an option as well.

As the prices for all these vary significantly and that's a popular time of year I would start booking sooner than later.

Thanks! I will share the info. :-)

I had a great stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites on Katella. The breakfast there was a great feature, so we went to the parks with full stomachs!

The new Courtyard Marriott might accommodate them. It is a good set up for a family as it had two queen beds and then the two bunk beds. I thought the bunk beds were actually quite comfortable for a small adult. The only down side is it sometimes is as much, if not more, than the Paradise Pier.

Check out Homewood Suites by Hilton. It is not close to the parks, but a very short walk to the Toy Story Parking Lot. So going back and forth between the parks will be easy.

Take a look at a map and base it on that. Directly across the street from the main entrance you have Carousel, Camelot, Grand Legacy, Best Western Park Place, etc. I've stayed at all of those except BWPPI (though Grand Legacy was when it was still Ramada.) They're all super close and most have suites.
