Looking for some recommendations for our last two nights next March. Somewhere in the Universal area.

We have stayed at The Royal Pacific and loved it, waiting to see if I can get a good APH rate, there is nothing at the moment. We've just stayed at The Hard Rock and to be honest weren't that impressed, the Portofino is out of my price range!!!

We are completely clueless about hotels on International Drive, ideally we need something a taxi ride away as we both intend to have a few drinks at Margaritaville for my 40th... Ian quite likes the look of the Sheraton Four Points?

Thanks in advance for your help xx

Jules, we are planning to stay at RPR in April and are waiting patiently for the April's AP prices to be loaded onto the website. Last week they added on until February. We too did not like Hard Rock Hotel and the Potofina Bay is a further walk so not keen and as you say very pricey.

We stayed on I-Drive a few years ago and were not keen and really want to go with the front of line passes at Universal. I am checking once a week on the AP rates!!

Let us know what you decide. What are your March dates? We arrive in Orlando on 30th March

Susan

We've stayed at the Four Points and have been very impressed. It's 10 minutes walk from Universal. They do run buses, we didn't use them though, but I do know that the last one returns from City Walk at 2am on a weekend, so if you fancy a night out that's gotta be a bonus! It's $5 in a cab if you don't fancy walking.

The only negative I can tell you about it is that the rooms don't have fridges. You can get them on request, I think the hotel charge like $5/day or something. We never needed one: we used ice machines to keep any drinks cool. Also there's a 7-Eleven over the road and a Walgreens 20 yards away.

When we don't stay on site we always stay at the Homewood Suites. Nice hotel, free breakfast, evening food Monday to Thursday, business centre with free internet and printers etc and it is a 15 minute walk from Universal.

Never stayed , but friends have stayed at Doubletree at Universal, and say its a nice place and close enough to walk to Citywalk and spend the evening there

I've got no personal experience of this hotel (and I've no idea how it compares with what you're already looking at) but I do know the Holiday Inn & Suites has just had a major refurb and it's as cheap as chips.

Thanks Everyone...

Deb, scarily spooky I booked that hotel last night!!

Thanks for starting this thread Julie !!

I too have just booked the Holiday Inn for a one night stay :goodvibes Makes up for the cancelling of the Hard rock Hotel because of lack of funds :thumbsup2.

We get to stay longer in citywalk after all :)
