Hotel recommendations in Miami

We are flying out on a Friday and we are looking to stay the night in the Miami area before driving up to Orlando on the Saturday.
Can anyone recommend a medium priced hotel in the area?

Stayed here a few years ago. Basic but cool, clean, spacious and had a free basic breakfast (bagels and coffee). 2 minutes walk from the beach, nice restaurants nearby and Lincoln Road Mall over the road. It's about $140/night for this time of year if you book direct.

worth checking out marriott villas at doral...usually about £100pn for a 2 bed villa there and no resort fees/parking charges.

We've also got crowne plaza sawgrass mills for $99 a night (need to wait for the rate to come down) and fairmont turnberry isle at $99...an amazing hotel but pricier when you add resort fee/parking.

check out the splendia website becuase they run deals where you get say £50 off (go via quidco etc too) where you can get a night for as little as £55 pn on the beach, but always check resort/parking fees too.
