Hotel Rates?

I am planning our first family trip to WDW for 4/05. I was wondering if any knew if the hotel rates are likely to go up or down the longer I wait to reserve a room, I would hate to book one now to find out if I wait a month it's significantly cheaper, or vis versa.

are you staying off-site (much, much cheaper) - or onsite - WDW property?

If WDW property the codes for Spring haven't been released. So I go for a value resort - and then if you want -- upgrade it once the codes are released.

Thanks We plan to stay off site probably at Homewood suites LBV I have been to hotelkingdom and found a cheaper rate than offered by Hilton however I was curious to know if the rates where likely to change as it got closer to the time of our vacation.

I don't think so - unless the place is having a problem filling the rooms.

sometimes CRO use to offer the Hilton in DD at $99 - but I have also heard that priceline can now beat that price.

I know with priceline the closer you can wait the better the deal you will get.

joym70 - Be sure to look into the price-match guarantee through Hilton. We're staying at this Homewood Suites for a few days this December, and I booked it at Hilton, and then went through their web-site providing the information about the lower price through HotelKingdom.com. They matched the price, and also will send a $50 Amex gift card after our stay. Since I booked through Hilton the reservation could also be cancelled without the $20 penalty that Hotelkingdom charges. Definitely the best way to go, I think! Taking into account the $50 credit, my average price per night including tax for 3 nights is just over $70.
