I noticed on the Loews Hotel website that it lists this:

Keurig coffee maker featuring Emeril's Gourmet coffee and assorted teas

As something in the room. Know I think this is the Keurig single cup maker thing with the little cups that you place into the machine and it makes you a cup of coffee. Does anybody know if this costs? I know things like the bottle water cost (a lot!) but coffee is offered at a ton of hotels and resorts for free in the room, so I am hoping the same goes for this! If they do cost, do you know how much?

There isn't any cost to use the coffee maker and the K-cups as I have always used the green tea K-cups. I just make sure that everyone in my party knows to stay clear of the $6 bottle of Fiji water.

I am so glad to hear that they are free to use! I have always wanted to try one of those machines so I guess I will get my chance next week. Does anybody know what kinds of k-cups they offer? For example, do they offer any drinks like mochas or lattes that these machines can make, or is it just coffee and tea?

They had things like de-caf, regular, french vanilla? They also had teas but they weren't anything semi normal to my tastes. You can go to Kohls and get a lot of these things half price on sale just so you know. I know the stuff in the room is free but if you're really wanting to try! :rotfl:

I think they're the Emeril's brand, which supposedly has the chicory taste in the coffee. Just tasted like coffee to me, to be honest. Wasn't bad. Wasn't memorable.

I recommend running a plain water cycl first just to get the machine heated up or your first cup of coffee won't be very hot. It was very convenient and we saw housekeeping one morning and asked for extra non-decaf - she was happy to supply us.

Really??!?!? If that is the case, I am really happy to hear that! I love a nice cup of hot chocolate before bed!

I`m a bit greedy though......I like my hot chocolate made with milk :thumbsup2

We really liked the coffee, in fact any coffee in the states is good that we have tried. We always seemed to be asking at reception if we couldn`t find and housekeepers to replenish, especially the creams.......they seemed to disappear quickly.

I think I am going to bring some of ours from home. DH and Dd have certain brands they like. I don't think they will like Emerils because its pretty strong (from what I hear).

DH drinks Coffee House Decaf and DD drinks Caribou Daybreak Morning Blend. Are either of these available?

We are staying club level. Are these available there too?

all the beverage pods are free.

they have a couple of fruity tasting coffee pods, some blends, 2 types of tea, decaf tea and coffee, and another type. this is what was in my room.
don't know if all the rooms have the same assortments.

they do have one more which is not a flavor.
it's the closest thing to a black coffee brew with out the foo foo added to it.

i only drink plain black coffee....
nothing else.

so, i always call star service and have them make a note on my file for housekeeping only to leave 19 pods of the regular black coffee pods.
they take away all the flavored ones then and additives/sugar,cream etc for me.
i do have to say the hot chocolate pods are good.

i drink a lot of coffee.
from the time i get up to evening time.

no, it does not affect my sleep.

one huge tip:

make sure the keurig has been cleaned out before you use it.
run water thru it first to make sure it flows correctly.

last october i had an issue with my keurig as it didn't fill all the way up in the cup.
looking inside of it, you could tell it was ......well used.....

star service had a new keurig delivered to my room within 2 hours.

call the concierge number for RPH and inquire about the brands and types they are using.

ask them to provide the brand and type of pods you want for your club room.
