No charge for DVC members staying on points or using a cash reservation for a villa. No charge for vehicles with HA placards. No charge at the campgrounds. But everyone else pays to park a vehicle overnight. IOW, parking at a resort for an ADR is free but parking at the resort you are staying at is not. How's that for Disney logic?Do they charge fee for parking at the hotel now? I am DVC and I know they dont for us.
...only pay $13 per night...

Plus, where you stay makes a difference. Value Resort guests get a break and only pay $13 per night while Deluxe Resort guests pay $24 per night. Moderate Resort guests are in the middle with $19 per night. Again, Disney logic at its best...parking a vehicle overnight costs nearly twice as much at Deluxe Resorts as it does at Value Resorts!
--But you are parking your car in Deluxe quality asphalt, none of that value-level play dough parking.

Perfect sense...Disney is an income maximizing machine, and this price disparity is a logical program. If you pay many hundreds of dollars a night for a room, you're much more accepting of a higher parking rate than if you only pay a couple of hundred dollars. The price has nothing to do with the cost to Disney to produce the commodity.Oh boy you've done it now. Wait until one of the DIS "WDW Police" read your take. They'll surely be able to nicely explain to you why the price for parking, at each level of resort, makes perfect sense.

Thanks Sheriff. Just kidding...just kidding.
Ya, buddy. How quickly we forget. Resort fees are coming, of course.
@Disney Ron you were right on this one. Keep up the good work.Oh boy you've done it now. Wait until one of the DIS "WDW Police" read your take. They'll surely be able to nicely explain to you why the price for parking, at each level of resort, makes perfect sense.
Not a defense, totally a guess: a VERY quicI look at some resort rates makes me think the parking fee is about 20% of the average standard room rate at the value and moderate resorts. No idea on deluxe, those ranges are way too disparate.
Sorry. 10%. Notice that I couldn't spell "quick", either (no matter how many times I corrected it.)Really?? 20%?? So, average room rate for the moderates is ≈$95/night and ≈$65/night for a value?? I think your abacus is broken...
