Hi everyone. We're tacking 2 nights at DLP onto our France trip this June. I checked the DLP website for a package at Newport Bay, and got back a price of 600 british pounds, which is about $1200 US. This seems, well... nuts! Does that price sound right to you folks? If it's really going to cost us that much, I may end up using my DVC points, instead (I don't want to go through the hassle of renting them out for cash.)

Thanks

Its hard to tell if that price is right without more details.

What dates were you looking at? How many in your party?

We are going on Feb 14th for 4 nights with park tickets, 2 adults and 2 children staying at the Davy Crockett Ranch, cost is £460.

But the Newport is more expensive than the Ranch and you are going at a more expensive time.

If you give more details i think you will get more help.:goodvibes

Have a look at Bavaria's excellent post here to see if this helps.

As Leanne has said with a bit more info we may be able to help. :goodvibes

We're going 6/21 for 2 nights. Two adults and one child. We'll be coming down from Normandy, probably by rental car, then returning to CDG for the flight home.

I am thinking of staying there with points in 2008. Let me know how that works out for you. I will need two rooms.

I just checked the DLP website and for 2 nights at the Newport Bay, 2 adults and 1 child its coming out as £494.:confused3

Not sure why you are being quoted more. Is your child over 11?

It seems a little expensive to me as your child could be going free if they are under 7 so therefore that price is for 2 adults if your child is 7 and under.

Have you tried different hotels or are you set on the Newport Bay? The Sequoia Lodge is a lovely hotel and would probably come in a little cheaper.

Does seem expensive when you compare the price that UK residents are being quote.

As you'll have a car Davy Crockett Ranch may also be an option as well as alternative hotels :)
