Besides EP and costs, which hotels do you like better between HRH, Sapphire, and Portofino Bay?

We are booked in Sapphire with pool view 2 doubles (or queens). There is a King room that opened up at Portofino but I would need a roll-a-way. Not sure what that costs or the availability. All things being equal, that hotel costs about 2k more for the same package I have I Sapphire (which include EPU).

Thanks.

I agree with DoryGirl, if you don’t need Express then Sapphire cannot be beat, especially for the price difference!

The only thing we like better is HRH proximity. If you are traveling with someone 4 yrs or younger or someone with issues that you know will need a trip or two back to the hotel during the day HRH being so close is great.

I agree with other posters as well on Saphire. We’ve stayed at Royal Pacific and have an upcoming stay at Porfofino which will be our first. I really liked it myself and it’s close to everything, especially walking distance to Volcano Bay. We have opted for the Portofino option only because we got a good deal and we’re doing 5 days of parks so the passes made sense. Otherwise though, we were originally at Sapphire again and had no second thoughts. So perhaps ask yourself if you want/need those Express Passes perhaps. For 2K more, it would be a hard pass to be honest. I liked Saphire better than Royal Pacific. Haven’t stayed at Hard Rock but wasn’t too impressed for the price to be honest.

To me SFR is basically a new, improved RPR, but without the EPs. But PBR does have noticeably larger rooms. So if space is an issue, the larger rooms can make a difference. A few other pluses with PBR is it has 3 different pools where SFR, RPR and HRH all only have one. And PBR has the only onsite SPA facilities. So if you or anyone in your party likes to partake of SPA services, that could also affect your decision. And one final difference between HRH/PBR/RPR and SFR is that all 3 Premier hotels have Club Lounges where SFR doesn't.
