Hi all

Been to Euro disney many times over the passed 15 years using loads of different transport combinations (some more successful than others!)

Most recently we have normally driven to Ashford stoped over then got the eurotunnel at 9ish before driving to disney. We normally get there at lunchtime then do the reverse coming back leaving disney at about 4ish.

However now my girls are 2 and 5 it seems alot of driving without much wiggle time and also as we are going in school holidays I wanted to make the most of park time.

So this time I am thinking that we might try to take the Eurostar to Paris stay somewhere between paris and Disney and then take the RER straight to disney so get the whole day there.

There will be four adults and two small children, has anyone got any reccomendations for a hotel to stopover at? Main criteria cheap, clean and close enought to the RER to walk to it easily.

Any tips for travelling on RER itself?

Many Thanks

You may have already considered and rejected this, but if you're going to DLP (ie not intending touring Paris etc) could you take the Eurostar to DLP and stay at Val d'Europe for the evening beforehand? That way you are literally only 2 minutes train journey from DLP, and there are loads of hotels in Val d'Europe (including the Ibis, Etap etc etc).

Having said that, if I was taking the Eurostar to DLP, I'd just want to get in those parks, so I'd have to have a park ticket for my first day ;).

Yeah I did think about that and like you thought actually arriving at DLP and not going, would be just not right!

We did it one year, we arrived on a Sunday evening at about 9pm when the park was open until 10pm and it was absolute torture not being able to pop in, even if only for 10 minutes!

At least you would be able to do some shopping in the village and a meal at Cafe Mickey to get the holiday off to a good start.

We always get the Eurostar straight to dlp and are in the parks by 2pm at the latest. I enjoy the extra time you gain on the last day using Eurostar, as it usually leaves about 7:30 in the evening.

We stayed in the Kyriad on site the night before our first day and the night of our last day which meant we made the most of the time we had tickets for. We also got a special rate through the website.
