Hi all

I am wanting to go to DLP for new year staying three nights. I have a dream pass but really looking for a cheap break so thinking it will still be cheaper to stay off site. Could anyone tell me what the nicest but good value hotel is in the area?

Thanks

Marriott Vacation Club (2 bedroom 330m sq Villas), Holiday Inn and Radisson SAS all offer better value high quality accommodation with pools etc. for less than Disney.

The Kyriad has good deals too.

And if less than 4 people, the ETAP is the cheapest reasonable/no frills accommodation.

which etap do you know? there seems rather a lot of them in the Paris area? Thanks for the hotel recommendations is there one in particular that out shines the rest in terms of budgetness or greatness!!??

:cool1:

There is an Etap at Val d'Europe. Thats the one Dave means - right next to one of the train station entrances, literally a few minutes from the gates of DLRP by train.

On the Etap site, just look for the one at Val d'Europe.

There is an eTAP in Serris (Val d Europe) which is across from the train station, 3 mins to DLP. That the cheapest.

If you want amenities such as room service and a pool, then Holiday Inn is the hotel of choice.

If you want 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, TVs with DVDs, soaking tub, kitchen (inc washer and dryer) with 4-5* leisure facilities, then Marriott is it (though there are no restaurants).

(oops, posted at the same time)

etap is booked for new year which is a real shame....holiday inn €149 a night....far too pricey for us for a quick break. any other ideas?

There is an Ibis hotel right next door to the Etap at Val d'Europe - more expensive than the Etap, but not as expensive as the associated hotels.

Or there are favourable reviews on this forum for both the Citea and Premiere Class hotels in Bussy St Georges - again, a short hop on the train from DLRP.

The marriott will be very expensive for NY as it is actually a timeshare resort If you try www.marriot.com then it will take you there if you then search on their search botton.
Nice for me would probably be the Holiday Inn but I can't guess what it will be for NY. If I am looking for nice/cheap I would probably try the Kyriad at dinseyland resort Paris. make sure you get the right one as there are several in the area and I have booked the wrong one which meant expensive taxi bills
Good luck in your search.

If you try www.expedia.co.uk it will show you hotels near DLP

They are quoting some good deals on hotels in Marne le Valee

I have just booked the holiday inn for £40 a night with hotels.com - looks like a really nice hotel and there is a free shuttle 2 the parks!

That is a bargain. The HI is better than virtually all of the DLP hotels IMHO, it's just a little further away.

We're just back today from 5 nights in the Holiday Inn - we booked through Expedia (about 3 months ago) and got a family room for 4 of us for £76 per night. The HI was much cheaper than the Dream Castle (despite being owned by the same company) and even Explorers (which I don't like anyway). Are you booking less far in advance, or maybe at a busier time, that your rate is that much higher?

Hi - the price of £40 is for the both of us - it is only for the room though as we had our eurostar seperately - I have just checked on the hoels.com website and if you search for disneyland paris it is still coming up at that price per night!

yeah that would be why then. We are going in Nov and its mid week so we got a good deal. Still thats not 2 bad for New Year.

Friends of mine stayed in MR Bed in Torcy which is 4? stops down the RER and said it was good cheap and clean.
