Hotel New York

We are staying at HNY for the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon in September.

I last stayed there about 5 years ago and from looking at recent photos etc. it looks to me like the rooms have barely been touched since the hotel first opened

Is it due a refurb any time soon, or have the rooms recently been refurbished? The rooms and bathrooms look very "retro" and not in a good way, imo.

Refurbishments for Hotel New York are planned for this year. They just finished on Newport Bay Club.

However, they have just started refurbs on Hotel Cheyenne, so maybe the New York has been pushed back?

Having stayed in the Cheyenne 2 years ago before the current refubs have started, and in New York a few weeks ago, Cheyenne desperately NEEDS the refurb. The New York, where as it may look a bit out of date or 'retro' to some, the rooms and hotel were clean, tidy, and we certainly had no complaints. Cheyenne has peeling wall paper, and the rooms were just generally not well looked after.

So at least you're in the New York and not the Cheyenne!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Cheyenne after it's refurb though. Love the theme there. And Santa Fe after their refurb is lovely!

When they refurb the HNY the current plan will be to close the whole hotel whilst it is being done. It was meant to be the next hotel refurbished but this has been pushed back and the Cheyenne has been bought forward
