We're booked into the hotel New York for 4 nights in November, we're very excited as that'll be another hotel crossed off our list leaving just DCR and DLH :thumbsup2

Anyway, my question is, can anyone recommend a floor or room for a lovely view? When we booked the lady we spoke to asked if we had any preference, obviously being our first time we don't but thought I would see what people who have stayed before think and I can maybe ask them to add a note to the booking when I call to pay the final balance.

Thanks lovelies :flower3:

We stayed in the HNY earlier this month and were delighted with our rooms (we had two interconnecting ones). These were standard rooms so not lake view as such but we were in Gramercy Wing on the ground floor facing onto a very private garden area that led directly onto the area between the balloon and the security entrance to the Village. Stepping from the rooms into the garden we could see the lake and balloon and it was lovely to have somewhere quiet and sunny to sit out right outside our rooms. Our room numbers were 172 and 174 which were in the corridor nearest to the hotel reception and facilities. Odd numbers in our corridor would have faced the ice-rink. I see you are going in November so access to outside space may not be such a bonus but if you have older children who like to head off on their own it is still great to have the entrance to the Village so handy although I see yours are a bit young for that! Enjoy your stay anyway. :goodvibes

Hi, we've also had ground floor rooms, near the pool with an outside area which we loved in summer :thumbsup2

But, our best room was last year in Midtown room 7201. It is actually a car park room but if we turned and looked left, we had a lovely view of the castle :goodvibes We had been there a day before I realised and only noticed when my dd looked out and saw Dreams! Granted you can't see the full effect of Dreams, but it was lovely to see the fireworks and open the window to hear the music.
