Hotel needed, nice pool

I am looking for a hotel close to Universal with a nice pool area. Something not along the lines of a Days Inn pool, basic with water, but some theming and possibly a slide. Any suggestions? Thanks

With that budget your options are really wide open. The other day the hotel for the contest was the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. It looked gorgeous and the pool had something like a dozen waterfalls and 2 slides. That sounds like a great pool. I'd possibly look into something like that.

I'm new to the board & was wondering what hotel contest you are referring to?? I just checked the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress rates & they were 289 a night.

I would also love to know about reasonably priced hotels with great pools!

Try www.sheratonsafari.com . They have a 79ft. Python waterslide as well as nice rooms, and a good location. You can usually get this one for $100-120, less than $50 if you're willing to try Priceline or Hotwire. This is my favorite offsite hotel in Orlando.

Hello,

I'm also looking for this. I wasn't going to go anywhere for March Break, but the deals at Universal are just too good. I have to convince dh but I want to be armed with the facts first.

I was thinking of doing one of the Universal packages with hotel. Off-site is preferable because of price, and since our son is 4, long days at the parks aren't a priority anyways. The key is a nice pool - my son swims like a FISH.

so far we're looking at Holiday Inn Internatinal Drive or Hilton Garden Inn or maybe Amerisuites...any ideas or advice?

Alternately, we could book just a hotel and mostly hang out at the hotel and do a day trip to sea world or wet and wild or universal...

I'm open to everyone's good advice!
