Hotel near Universal?

I am interested in the Universal Hilton or Sheraton because of the location, but they are pretty pricey. Can anyone recommend a nearby hotel that won't break the bank? Any areas better or worse? Thank you so much.

I've seen many people recommend the Garland as a cheaper option. They have trolley to the park.

If you’re also visiting LA, try Magic Castle Hotel and Hollywood Celebrity in Hollywood. Quick metro to Universal and much better situated for the rest of LA.

We stayed at the Garland last summer and loved it! Highly recommend.

Stayed at Coast Anabelle last week for 3 nights. Comfy beds and clean, Free parking. They do have a shuttle to UHS with a reservation but we drove.

there are many VRBO places around too that may meet your needs. Obviously, depending on where it is, you may need to rent a car then.
