DH, DS and I are flying into MCO on Sunday 12 September (returning from DH 10 college reunion in Colorado!). We are concerned about the next big storm brewing out in the Atlantic and would like to have a reservation at a hotel near the airport just incase we can't make the drive back up to Georgia. Does anyone have any recommendations? We don't want to spend too much money and would like it to have a restaurant inside and indoor corridors (we won't have a car with us, so shuttle from the airport or taxi drive will be required). All ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!!

I am puzzled, your reunion is in Colorado. Why are you flying into MCO and then driving to Georgia. Why don't you just fly into Atlanta?

If a storm is imminent the airline will probably let you change your flight without any penalties.

The best deals on airport hotels are with PL BUT the reservations can't be changed or canceled. Some of the better rates with Expedia and even on the hotel websites are pre-paid and non-cancelable. If you really want a reservation you can cancel at the last minute you are probably stuck booking a less discounted rate (AAA) at the hotels website. Check the cancellation policies.

I will try AAA...thanks for the idea.
As for our travel plans....we live in Valdosta, Georgia. My parents live in Palm Coast, FL. Our plan is to drive to my parents house and leave our car there (spend the night and have a short visit). My parents will take us to the airport since they are just over 1 hour away (and we save money not having to pay for airport parking). My parents will pick us up when we fly back in, but if the storm is bad, they may not be ableto get us at the airport. Not to mention, the tickets were considerably less money traveling from MCO rather than ATL.
