I have to have some surgery this month and need to stay in NYC two nights. Can someone recommend a hotel room in NYC that will be nice for someone stuck in a room but won't cost more than $200 a night (and would prefer nearer to $150). I've tried Priceline with no success so far but would like other options as well. My usual standby of Best Western Seaport Inn is unfortunately completely booked. Thanks!

Try the Park South Hotel on www.quikbook.com. It's a hip boutique hotel located at 29th and Park, just a few blocks from the hospital, and rooms go for around $160/night. Check it out, we used to send all of our out of state visitors there.

Thanks laugh o grams - I'll check it out - any other suggestions anyone?
