Any suggestions? I would like to go up Friday night so no traffic worries on Saturday. I was (SERIOUSLY) planning on staying at the Red Roof in Woodbury as we have stayed there many times - with no problems either. However after the murder the other night I just can't do it comfortably. (If they would even be open yet then).

I like the Fairfield just east of the airport across the river (next to another Marriott prop - no restaurants etc there) - but it wasn't coming up as bookable when I did it the other night, so assuming they are full.

Would like something cheap but still safe, lol. If they hard park and fly for a fairly reasonable price, I would be amenable to that too (otherwise we use an off-site service near I35 E junction).

I've stayed at both Fairfield Inn's. The one you spoke of & the one next to Mall of America.
I like the Mall of America one better, plus you can walk to the Mall of America Hiawatha train station & take that to the airport if you don't want to wait for the hotel shuttle.

There's a listing of Marriott family hotels that offer park & fly here: http://www.park-and-fly-hotels.com , if you decide to go that route.

We always use the Courtyard by Marriott in Mendota Heights as a park and fly... great shuttle service!
