Hotel near HIFS?

We are staying at HIFS in Sept. My in-laws are driving from Ft. Lauderdale to meet us for 3 days. Does anyone know of a hotel that is near the HIFS that they can stay in. They really don't want to pay the rates at HIFS and they don't need all the room. Thanks for the help.

The closest hotels that I can think of are more $$$ than HIFS. That would be the Gaylord Palms, Marriott Orlando World Center, Caribe Royal. The Buena Vista Suites is close, you might be able to get a better rate from Hotel Kingdom. Stick to the Lake Buena Vista area when doing a search. I have heard that HIFS offers a lower "grandparent" rate if that applies.

Yes, there is a Senior rate @ HIFS; it goes according to their age. The older they are, the less they pay. You can find the rates on their website. Seniors also get 10% off all food purchases. I believe Sept is their lowest rate season, so you may want to check into that. It would be convenient to have everyone in the same hotel, even if your in-laws got a room over in the lap pool (read: quiet) section. The Marriott is right across the street, but as the last poster said, it would likely be more money.
