Hotel near Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

Looking for a hotel in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area... A free breakfast would be great, we will have a car. We'll be shopping at Sawgrass Mills but don't have to be super close. Any suggestions?

Yep. I travel to Ft. Lauderdale often for work.

There is a new, kind of small Hampton Inn and Suites JUST off the Sawgrass Expressway (but easily reached from the turnpike too) in Tamrac, FL. It's address is on Madison Avenue (so you know which one if you do a search).

Clean, clean, clean, and no smoking allowed. Decent free breakfasts and microwave and mini refrigerator in the room.

Embassy Suites Fort Lauderdale is my favorite (not on the beach) hotel.
Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale airport north is another good one, both offer free breakfast.
