Hotel near Aulani?

I need to complete my vacation week, but one night at the beginning is booked solid. Has anyone stayed at a hotel nearby at a reasonable rate?

Check Embassy Suites in Kapolei if price is important. Check out The Marriott Ko Olina Beach if you want to pay about the same as Aulani

Keep checking dates for Aulani. When I first tried to book for July, my dates were booked solid. I kept searching on and off for a few weeks at recommendation of agent and our days became available through online search on their website.
Otherwise, Four Seasons is literally next door in the same lagoon or the Marriott which is in lagoon 3. Perhaps a night in Waikiki if you haven't stayed before just to check it out?

The Four Seasons right next door is very nice but no doubt expensive.

If it’s just a day at the start of the trip maybe just stay the night in the Waikiki area and do some activities on that side of the island. That way you aren’t driving back and forth. I recommend Kualoa ranch it’s beautiful and the byodo-in temple, or a hike on diamond head.

I also suggest staying on Waikiki just for the experience. We enjoy it for a night or so, but then remember how much we love the quiet of the Ko Olina area.

We had the same issue and stayed a night at the Embassy Suites in Kapolei and were very happy with it for what we paid. We used that day to explore the Island.
