I know this isn't exactly a disney resort question. But after pricing out flights etc, and because of the limited number of flights per day out of Harrisburg,PA, We have decided to fly down the day before, stay at a motel near the Orlando airport, and then have a towncar pick us up and run us to a grocery store and to the BCV.I am trying to keep it reasonably cheap. Any recommendations? It needs to have an airport shuttle . Tia:goodvibes

We've never done this, but this link might help you research hotels near the airport:

Have you thought about staying at the airport? I think it is a Marriott. We did this once and it was great. They have a rooftop pool and many shops and restaurants in the airport. We enjoyed it. Then we booked a towncar to take us to Disney with a grocery stop.

We stayed at the Hyatt inside MCO. It's great, right there in the terminal, no need for a shuttle. Then you can take a towncar or even take ME to your resort the next day (that will help save some $$$).

The Hyatt is REALLY nice, really quiet, and there are discounts available online.

For us, we spent our last night there since we had to be at MCO at 5am anyway. It really let us sleep in!:)

Thanks for the recs. I did look into the Hyatt inside MCo and it looks great but even with AAA it is $151.20 for the one night we need. So I am thinking I could probably do a little better.

We did priceline and got the marriott with taxes and everything came to $76.00

Sometimes if you go to Hyatt.com you can get an internet "special" rate that beats the AAA rate. That plus using ME instead of a town car may end up saving you $$$.

It was important for us to be in MCO as we were leaving that morning. I can understand trying to find something cheaper since you don't need to wake up at the airport.;)

Does anyone know anything about the La Quinta Inn? It looks ok and My TA said I can get a rate of $50 for the night with discount. It has complimentary airport shuttle service .Really I am just looking to sleep there on 12/12 and then have a towncar pick us up on 12/13 in the am and run us over to checkin at the BCv ,get our park tix and head out.

Hi - Our family did the same thing about a year ago and stayed at the Wingate Inn near the airport. I believe they have two but stayed at the one that was about one mile away. They had a shuttle that we called when we received our luggage and they were there withing 10 minutes. We also had a town car pick us up in the morning. The Wingate was very nice with continental breakfast and very comfortable beds. I think the price was also pretty reasonable. Hope this helps.

You should try the "Orlando Area Resorts & Attractions" board here in the DIS for more info like this.

I'll move this thread there.

Thanks!
