Laundries - which hotels have good laundries and others, well, not so good.

It's hard to find photos, ratios of machines to rooms, and if the room has any natural light.

To date I've seen a pic of Residence Inn Maingate which looks like it has maybe 6 or so machines & dryers, lots of light and HoJo I'm not sure how many machines but looked quite clean. Last year I stayed at Homewood which we loved but only had 3 machines and 3 dryers :scared1: for the whole complex.

So if you have a review or thoughts on a hotel laundry, could you please let me know.

We have loooonnnnggg trips so we need the machines when we travel.

When we go for extended times, we prefer to stay at the Staybridge Suites on Manchester. The provide free laundry...washing and drying...FREE!!!!
Love it!!:yay::yay:

I love the GCH but their laundry facilities seem small for the size of the hotel. We were there end of january midweek trying to do laundry. They have 5 washing machines, 2 of which were out of order. The dryers were all working. When we got to the laundry room there was a line to wait for a machine. Took hours to do 3 small loads of laundry.
We also have stayed at the carousel Inn and suites. Their laundry room probably had 3 dryers and 3 washers. It was always a ghost town in there. Had the place to myself on two different occasions.

We stayed at the HOJO in May & had to walk past the laundry room to get to our room. I never went in so I can't give you good details. It didn't look to be real big or anything BUT, it was never very busy when we were passing by either. Looked like maybe 1 or 2 people here & there.

I've only used a hotel laundry once actually. At the Tropicana. It SUCKED!!!!! 3 washers but only 2 dryers, people waiting to use them. In fact I did 1 load and someone was waiting after me, well she took my clothes out of the washer and put them in the dryer, I came down and put my quarters in the dryer and when I went back to get them an hour later (my quarters gave me an hour and fifteen minutes) she had already TAKEN MY CLOTHES out of the dryer, the dryer that still had time left on it from MY quarters!!!!! And my clothes weren't even DRY yet!!!! I had to lay them out in the room to finish drying them!!!!! I was very annoyed with her to say the least....she didn't even offer to repay my quarters, which I would have actually been happy to gift her if she had waited her turn!!!!! So, I don't do laundry while on vacation anymore, I just bring it home and wash it there.

I blieve Hojo actually has 2 laundry rooms. One each in buildings 1 AND 2. I used the one in building 2. No window. I honestly do not remember how many machines there were. It is right inside the doors by the pool, so I did laundry while the kids and DH swam. It worked great for us.

Does Anaheim Plaza have laundry facilities or is there a laundry mat near by? I am going to need to laundry BADLY by the time I get to cali.
