So we are headed to Cali in 17 days this is not our first trip we have been i think 7 times. But this is our first trip in almost 2 years we have 3 girls 6,4 ,9 months. I have never been very good at packing for the day in the park I am hoping to find a good back pack / diaper bag and just have that bag for in the park. Oh we have never flown with all the kids and I have only flown twice in my life I am kinda freaking out LOL.
So any suggestion for new things that maybe were not there 2 years ago or diaper bag/ back pack that would work for taking on the plane and using in the park would be great.
Any tips for flying with kids we are coming from Idaho so it will not be super long flights.
umm I am sure there are other things I want to know but I am not thinking of anything right now.
Thank you in advance.
Amanda

My kids are all two years apart; currently 14, 12 and 9 (b/d in July). Their first visits to DL were when they were 6 weeks, 4 weeks and 2 weeks (I know, it's too early, but with a 2 and 4 year old did you really expect me to stay home ALL the time?) First flights 6 months, 2 months and one year respectively. We fly annually, at least.

Do you have a portable DVD player? If you are flying an airline that doesn't have DirectTV at each seat, this is a good investment for teh 4 and 6 year olds. Did you book a seat for the baby? I always did rather than have a lap child. I also put dh and the boys behind my daughter (the youngest) and I. I did this so that when the boys started kicking they were kicking me and not anyone else. Bottle on take off and landing for the baby, or something to suck on for her/his ears. When my kids were that little, i would go to the dollar store before a flight and buy a bunch of little items and then every 30 minutes or so on the flight, I could pull something new out to entertain them; coloring books, games, new dolls, whatever. Between that and the DVD player you should be golden. Plus from ID you're only flying about 3 hours right?

As for in the parks, both have baby centers. At DL it's at the end of mainstreet behind the camera shop. HIgh chairs, little potties, a nursing area. When my kids were your kids age, this was the last place we went on every visit to go potty and change into jammies (we lived fifteen minutes from dland). At CA Adventure it's over by the tortilla factory, if I remember correctly. AND they have baby supplies if you run and out and can heat a bottle. It's really a fabulous service.

No advice on diaper bags; it's been a long time for me. But hopefully my post has helped. Good luck, don't worry, have fun.

Bring food/snacks on the plane without drinks. Bring all three to the parks.

I wouldn't bother with a specific diaper bag; instead, I'd bring a messenger bag like this one from Baggalini. I have it and it works well-I can fit in my wallet, sunscreen, a few extra diapers and some wipes, and a water bottle. You'll have a stroller, I assume, so you can throw a change of clothes for each kid underneath if you want. Remember hats for everybody! When will you be going? Our last trip, my middle child was 4 and our youngest an infant, and the baby was super easy to travel with. It helped that I was nursing, so didn't have to worry about carrying formula in the parks. I'm much more anxious about having him along at 2 1/2 this time...toddlers are the worst to travel with. Your kids are at a great age!

We have done many different ages, and I have found just keep them busy seems to work. Ipod, ipad anything like that (in airplane mode!) is great. We would load up the ipad with new movies and shows that they had not seen.

Also we found something like benadryl helped with the ears popping and such. Out of all of the probelms we have had the pain the kids had for the ears was the worst! I am not saying dope them up, but talk to your doctor and see if there is anything they can recommend

I would purchase each of the older children a roll - on suit case. The disney themed ones are perfect size for kids. Remember some airlines charge for checked baggage so each child having and pulling own works out great. Kids seem to do great taking care of own suit case when traveling. My grand kids had just turned 6 and 4 on last trip and they were so proud rolling their own suit case.

any hand held video game is great for kids. DS is wonderful for traveling.

Depending on time of flight sandwich or cheese and crackers will hit the spot if they get fussy.

Be prepared for any accidents on plane -- it can happen. Having extra change of clothes and handi wipes will save the day.

I agree leave the oher post leave the big diaper bag home. Remeber you will be separted from the stroller and bag if you all ride an attraction /wait in line. GUESTS HAVE COME OUT OF RIDES AND FOUND STROLLER AND/OR DIAPER BAGS GONE. I have seen guests come out of a ride to find the camera bag with camera gone. Not sure why people think leaving a bag of just purchese t-shirts or sweat shirts in the lower area of a stroller makes them safe? So what ever you take into park you should take on to a ride with you.

Have fun

Awesome advice I totally forgot about the baby centers I used them a couple of times when we went when my 4 year old was like 5 months old.
We do have Ipads so that should help alot on the plane.
I will check out that bag and yes we do take our bags on rides with us we try not to leave anything that really matters in the stroller.
We are leaving on the 19th I think it is or the 17th of may we have been talking about different dates and do not remember what ones he booked LOL.
