Looking for a nice/safe hotel near the port in Canaveral. Would appreciate any ideas. Thank you so much!

I stayed in at a hotel called Day's Inn Cocoa beach port canaveral and they do a shuttle to the port. You get continental breakfast included and 24 hour of complimentary teas and coffees. I stayed there 4 nights and I got uber and lyft to the Disney parks which is about an hour away. The other spare days I had I went for a walk along Cocoa Beach Pier and went swimming in the hotel at the hotel I stayed in at Day's inn Cocoa beach port canaveral. I enjoyed the Ale House pub next door and they do lovely food at the Ale House pub next door to the Day's inn cocoa beach port canaveral. The shuttle bus that I booked to the port with Day's Inn Cocoa beach port canaveral was with a transportation company called Cocoa beach express and they were excellent they arrived on time and took me to the cruise ship the Disney Wish and the driver was friendly.

We like the Homewood suites right by the port. They have a shuttle in the morning and a decent breakfast.

Another vote for Hampton and Home2. Solid breakfast and nice pool. We stayed Towneplace recently and it was underwhelming.

When we stayed in Cocoa Beach before our cruises, we typically were there for 2-3 nights. We really enjoyed staying at the Cocoa Beach Hampton Inn. https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/coibhhx-hampton-cocoa-beach-cape-canaveral/
The beach is very close by - just a short walk down a pathway through the dunes. We were lucky and got to watch a rocket launch from the beach during one of our stays They have a nice sized pool and a free breakfast buffet. Ron Jon’s is a short walk from the hotel, as are many food and shopping places. On the morning of the cruise, we took a shuttle (which we booked and paid for at the front desk) from the hotel to the port.

Loved home2
Used to stay Radisson but it’s gone so far down hill.
I believe there is a new mariott town suites too near Radisson.

We used to really like the Radisson as well. The last couple times we used the shuttle it was a complete zoo, I guess the guy who used to run it like a well-oiled machine isn't there anymore. We use the terminal parking now for convenience. We still stay at the radisson b/c we just need a place to rest our heads but that may change as well. We were in a room last time that had no A/C and it was awful. We got there late and were leaving early so didn't call about it but did report it before leaving.

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Canaveral, FL. We drive from central Ohio and arrive anywhere from 8-9 pm. We only need the room for one night. November 30, 2023 was our last stay. I think everyone there is going on a cruise. We always park at the port, so have never used a shuttle. They have a decent hot breakfast and our room was spacious and clean. You can't beat how close it is to the port. There is a small city park maybe half a mile away called Manatee Park which is a beautiful place on the Banana River to spend some time while you wait for your PAT. You can see the Disney ship from the decks alongside the water.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and we really enjoy it. Having beach access is really nice and the breakfast in the morning is decent. We have also stayed at the Residence Inn further up the road. We have always had a rental car from Orlando so we can drive around, so I can't speak to the shuttle from either place.
