We want to stay at the Airport the night before our holiday, in August. We maybe getting a lift or we could be requiring parking. Can you please share your hotel choices & best booking sites with me.

We have always stayed in a £9 travelodge, stayed there 3/4 times now. Nothing special but who sleeps when they are flying to Disney tomorrow!

We have booked Meet and Greet through Virgin for £64 for 15 days :thumbsup2

This is a good site to use :)

For the convenience, the Radisson is the best as it is the only hotel connected to the terminals. All the others will need you to get a shuttle to the terminals.

It is of course the most expensive, but at the moment you can get a special rate of £67.50 (no parking or breakfast). Check out the radisson website for the various combinations available - you can include parking and/or breakfast with some of the packages.

We stay at the Radisson, lovely hotel with a small pool area you can use which we find very relaxing to use the night before.

Radisson for us too:thumbsup2

Its now a family must for us, to order room service and watch the aeroplanes coming in to land. When we make our initial reservations we always request a "runway view".

So convenient also !!!!

We've stayed at Bewleys and the Crowne Plaza and thought Bewleys just had the edge, they're around the same cost I think. Bewleys' restaurant is really lovely, we ate there even when we stayed at the CP!

I stayed at the travelodge last year - its only a couple of years old fairly basic but for £9 - who's complaining! Taxi's to the airport were about £5 each way - you can use a shuttle bus that stops at the airport hotels but we didnt bother.

There is also a Premierlodge next door to the travelodge - personally I would always go with the Travelodge as they are much cheaper :lmao:

Thanks for all the replies. Those of you that stay at The Travel lodge where do you park? What can I expect to pay for The Raddisson to include parking? Is Bewleys & Crowne Plaza in the airport?

Hi,
Another vote for the Radison here. For us the convenience of been on site is worth every penny. Have also stayed at the Etrop Grange. Its not too far away and is a really nice hotel.

We got a £9 Travel Lodge:thumbsup2
As there are 5 of us 4 adults 1 child we are hiring a car on a boomerang rate at £120 return so we can all travel together and have no parking charges:)

Long time ago now (1999) but we stayed at a B&B about a 15 min drive from the Airport. They had parking, so you could leave your car there, and they dropped you off for your flight, and picked you up when you came home.

Price included bed for the two nights (going out and returning), 2 breakfasts, and car parking for the 2 weeks, and was very reasonable at the time. We just got a take away delivered for dinner!!

I think this was it - http://www.rylandsfarm.com/your_stay.asp

Don't know how it compares now price-wise to the likes of the Travelodge, but it might be worth investigating.

:goodvibes
