Here's my question, a little lenghty so please bear with me. Staying @ RPR and doing Universal, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove all for the first time. My question is this, after we are finished with all the Universal stuff, should we make the move to Embassy Suites for our last two nights. We are big fans of this chain with the free breakfast, bigger rooms, etc. Also we would save some money by moving. I realize moving with kids is a hassle but as I see it after we are thru with Universal is it still worth staying there as we should be thru with all the CityWalk stuff. We arrive on a Sunday and leave the next Sunday. Any thoughts on this is appreciated. Thanks.......

I would move, especially if you will have a car and won't have to pay extra for a town car, cab, etc.

We are going to Universal in April and will stay onsite two nights so we have 3 days of FOTL. We will then transfer off-site to spend the night before leaving town. There are 6 of us and we need two rooms, so staying onsite it just too expensive for us when we aren't going to the Universal parks (we'll save over $400 by moving offsite for that night--I refuse to think about how much we'll be spending for the two onsite nights  ).

I stayed at the Embassy Suites on International Drive near the Mercado. Had a nice couple of weeks there - our suite had usual things like hairdryer, coffee perculator, plus fridge and microwave. Nice bathroom. It also had a wonderful jacuzzi bubbling next to the pool. The buffet breakfast was very good and we mainly ate at the nearby restaurants - Japanese, Steak&ale, and in the Mercado or at one of the parks. It's also convenient for The Pointe (had an amazing couple of hours round the shops - lovely beachwear and trendy clothes - some were on the expensive side - especially the lingerie which was about the same as in England - but good quality stuff. There is also a wonderful toy shop on the corner as you enter the Pointe. It had just about every Star Wars/Barbie/Batman/Scooby - you name it - it would be there. Kids paradise!!:D

I agree, if you are done with Universal then move to the cheaper hotel if you are happy with it. If you can't use the benefits of the Universals, the price is not really worth it. Also, the extra night or two that you are not there may open a vacancy for someone who wishes to stay onsite and get the FOTL benefits.

I would only move as long as you are SURE you are not returning to Universal. FOTL spoils you and not having it after leaving could be a bummer!
