I am planning a trip in May and am so Confused on were to stay. I want to stay at the Wilderness Lodge, but I am a family of 6 (mom and dad, 4 kids ages 9,7,4,1) so I tried to do a junior suite and they are all booked:mad: So I was told to do the Poly I booked this, then when I started investigating I saw how much walking there is to get anywhere(eatting, lobby, everywhere) and this doesn't look real convenient with 4 small kids. So I changed to the Contemporary, I requested a magic kingdom view and got the 12th floor concierge. Will I be disappointed, or was this a good choice? Please HELP!!!!

Hi! Welcome to the Dis!

I've stayed at both WL & CR. We loved both resorts! It is so easy to stay @ one & visit/play @ the other. There is a small boat that connects the 2 (goes CR/WL/FW).

The rooms at CR are large. The bathroom set up is nice, too. The toilet is in a seperate room (w/ a mirror & outlet plugs). Your 4yo will have plenty of room on the daybed.

CR is in such a convienent location, too. Especially if you're spending lots of time at MK.

For an excellent, inexpensive meal, take your gang over to Trails End at FW.

Can I ask when in May you were planning on going? I was interested in the junior suite and was planning on going May 12-16. I hope they're not all booked for those dates. :(

When I checked into this about 2 weeks ago I was told nothing in May was open as far as the junior suites go and a regular room doesn't hold over 4 people. They said the junior suites always go the fastest

There really is not as much walking at the Poly as you think. The map makes it look like everything is prttey far, as the trails meander here and there. In reality, just exit your building, walk to the beach and head in a straight line to the Great Ceremonial house, TTC, marina, luau cove, etc.

You will not be dissappointed with either the Poly or CR. Both have very large rooms (larger than the rooms at WL). The Poly is not very spread out at all. The map only makes it look that way.

Your kids will love the CR. They will especially love the monorail that goes right through the hotel. The MK view room will let you watch the fireworks and (I believe) the EWP from your room. You can walk to MK (10 minutes, at most, and really the best way to get there--take the monorail back to CR). Chef Mickey's has a great character breakfast, and there is a great arcade.

Do not worry about the CR (I'm actually jealous that you can afford to stay concierge at CR:Pinkbounc ). You'll have a great vacation.

You will love the CR! We have stayed there 14 times over the years. (Look at my avatar).

I am not exactly sure the room prices I booked through Disney a whole package with hopper/room/airfare. Overall this was within my budget I had set so I went that route.
