Hi All,

Heading down in June, staying 5 nights DVC at VGC, but lookiing to add 2 nights before so that we can take advantage to the lower crowds during the week, (we could only only get a Friday checkin at 7 months).

Anyway, would like to stay close so that we can walk to the parks... What are the best close hotels to pick from.. we are not picky people... just looking or a nice place.

Best Western Park Place, right at the crosswalk, gets good reviews for basic, clean, nice. I've stayed at Desert Inn, right next to it, and am staying there again in Sept. Again, basic, clean, pleasant staff, and usually a bit less expensive. I scored $99 a night. Last time when I reserved, I requested top floor, as far forward as possible, and they upgraded me to a sitting room suite for free, very close to the front. I requested the same this time, and they were very careful to note my preference, although of course I told them I know they can't guarantee it. But still, very nice staff.

Park View Inn or Best Western Park Place Inn are out go-to choices. Both are clean, well kept and have great free breakfast (not just continental). You can't get any closer to the entrances to the park than with these.

Best western has a Costco discount you can get at Costcotravel.com or by calling the hotel direct.

I didn't realize this. I currently have reservations at the Desert Vue Inn, but will call tomorrow to see what kind of a deal I can get with my Costco membership! Thanks.......P

Starting your visit offsite will improve you chances getting a requested view at VGC :thumbsup2
Check in at the Grand early in the morning, which also gives you Extra Magic Hour :teacher:

Make your view request with DVC Member Services, many hints in the VGC Superthread.
