Hotel Help: Ramada Ltd or Candy Cane Inn?

Hi,

I'm an old timer, in the sense that I started going to DL when I was a small girl. But I haven't been since...'98!
My mom and I are taking my two daughters(5 & 2) in a few weeks and I'm so excited.

We have reservations at Candy Cane Inn. It looked nice and it has the breakfast and shu-ttle* bus.
Ramada Ltd was a very close 2nd place, and as of tonight it still has rooms. The location right across the street seems great, but I'm not sure if that's a true "right across the street" or more like "the next casino on the Vegas strip" distance (read: 1 mile).

What are your experiences? Should I stay with CCI or make the switch?

I can cancel my reservations at CCI without penalty at this point.

*this site doesn't like shuttle for some reason?

Stay with CCI. I've stayed there and it was great. Loved the free breakfast, loved the free shuttle. I would definitely not go with Ramada, the Ramada is much farther than the CCI.

I don't know anything about the Ramada, but we had a great experience staying at the Candy Cane Inn this summer! Rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was very good. CCI bus was very convenient, especially at night, and made regular trips from CCI to DL.

I visited a few offsite hotels last month and I can tell you go with the CCI. The Ramada isn't in the same league, nothing wrong with just very plain and very basic. The CCI at least has some atmosphere and the rooms are pretty

I enjoyed my stay at the CCI, but I have to say that walking distance is relative. With a 2 and 5 year old, it may prove to be a bit far. It was for my just turned 5 year old and I was glad I had a stroller. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes, and the first shuttle was not very early, like maybe at opening or 1/2 hour before opening, which didn't work for morning magic,or being early.

I'm content to hang tight and enjoy the CCI. The shuttle was a selling point because of my small kids.

I'm very excited. My older daughter has been to WDW, but DL at Christmas is a whole other world. I can't wait to see my youngest's face.
