Hotel help for family

I need some advice from those who have children.

My kids want to stay at the Nick hotel. Which seems so very cool. We are planning to go there for 4 days out of the 10 in Orlando. WE are doing Universal, Island of adventure and WDW. Then we will have too two rooms at Pop due to our family size. Is this a good choice or are my kids going to be so bummed to leave Nick for Pop. I just want to stay onsite also.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I've never stayed at Nick hotel so I can't help you in that regard but our ds7 keeps asking to go there. I would stay there except that ever since we stayed onsite at US/IOA, we love the FOTL privileges!! Once you try it, you'll never go w/o staying onsite.
Why not just save the Nick hotel for last and surprise them?

My neighbor stayed at the Nick Hotel and she said with the exception of the pool park at Nick it felt very much like being at Pop. But agree with the previous poster, if you are concerned then do Pop first followed by Nick.

My DD wanted to stay at the Nick Hotel for our upcoming Disney Trip and told her not this time. I had a friend that stayed there a couple of months ago and she told me it was a mad house and expensive. They nickle and dime you for everything. They have a $20 daily resort fee, arts and crafts are extra, activites were extra. Have you looked at tripadvisor.com to see the reviews. I do want to check out the hotel with my family but maybe for a short weekend since I live in S FLA, but for this trip I would rather stay at a Disney resort for the week. It is actually cheaper for my to stay at the BC with a FL Resident rate. That being said, I'm sure you kids will love the Nick Hotel no matter what. I agree with the other posters that you should stat at the Pop Resort before you go to the Nick Hotel.
