Hotel Help: Courtyard vs. DLH

If you’ve budgeted for the extra money, stay at the DLH. We are locals, so when we come up, we stay on Harbor- near the Courtyard. We splurged in October and stayed at the DLH, and if we could afford it, we’d stay there or at the GCH every time. I love being in the bubble. Since we come up so frequently, and we don’t have Madonna’s bank account, we stay off property. I have a milestone bday in April and my mom is taking me for a girls only, no husbands and no kids trip. We are splurging on the DLH for the pool, proximity to Trader Sam’s, DtD, and the overall magic of staying on property. We won’t have to walk by any homeless people sleeping under bus stops, panhandlers, protestors, or people trying to sell you something. All of which you will see on Harbor!

We always enjoy staying at DLH. Its nearby, keeps you in the Disney bubble, and my kids (including my 16 year old son) loves the headboard (he always says he cant go to bed until it sings him to sleep and he's not a sappy kid). We also enjoy on being able to send things back to the hotel as well and my daughter loves the pool area (but likes to spend most of her time on the slides).

We are thinking of staying at the Courtyard in June on our quick DL stop over. The pool there does look nice and my child would personally enjoy it as its more waterparky. The rooms also do look bigger. But we have never stayed there.
