Hotel FOTL benefits

We are staying in the Hotel and we have relatives joining us at the park, can they get on with us with the fotl pass. Thanks.

No, each person will be given a room key at check in. Each person has to show their room key to get FOTL access.

They are very strict about it. They scan each individuals room key card as they go in.

You family can purchase their front of the line access passes in the park...don't know the cost....then they can join you. Otherwise, they will not be able to. Front of the line entrances are monitored closely.

The only way that they can do it is if they are registered as staying at the hotel with you. Then you will all be given room keys. You can have five people per room, but I think only three adults.

As a follow up to damo........ if you list them as being in the room with you.... it will cost 25.00 each per extra adult. And I think, I may be wrong, but I think they have to be there with you when you check in to get the key. I'd just have them buy the express tickets at the park.

SO THE EXPRESS PASS IS THE SAME AS THE FOTL PASS? THEY CAN GET IN LINE WITH US, AND GO ON WITH US? THAT WOULD BE CHEAPER THEN GETTING ANOTHER ROOM FOR TWO. tHANKS

Not quite. Your hotel key works all day for multiple rides.

The paid Universal Express Plus pass cannot be used for the first hour after the park's official opening time. After that, it can be used only once per person per ride.

However, it should still work just fine for you and your friends.

I saw the price of $20.00 per park per day, should I buy them ahead of time or just wait till that a.m. when we start out? I did see somewhere a price of $10.00? is this true. Thanks

I bought mine at the park for $25 about a week ago.

This may seem pricey, but you get 14 rides out of the Express pass. Thus, it comes out to about $1.78 a ride. In contrast, I paid $15 for a Fast Lane pass at Six Flags America (Fast Lane is Six Flags version of a Fastpass). That was only good for 4 rides, so the per ride cost was $3.75.

Everyone in your party does not need to be present to get the hotel room keys. We checked in, got our room keys and keys for my sister and BIL and then met them in the park. We had two rooms and they really were staying with 2 of my kids in one of the rooms, but this meant that we could meet them in the park when they arrived at Universal.

leslieh, how many adults and children are staying in your room and how many people are you meeting?

I bit the bullet and called and got a second room, they can just stay overnight and we all get the FOTL pass. Its worth it i guess. There is a total of 6 now, with 4 being teenagers. Thanks for all your help.
