I am planning a trip to stay 5 nights at Universal Studios for FOTL and than go to a Hotel near Sea World for 2 nights. I am looking for a nice pool to relax at night and a not too expensive. I am travelling with my wife and 2 children 11 and 6. Any suggestions?

The pools at US resorts are pretty nice, along with their restaurants, so you might consider additional nights. We have stayed at the Hilton Gardens and the Marriott Rennassiance Resort when visiting SW. Of these two we preferred the Marriott which is located right across the street from SW, but preferred the pools at any of the US resorts.

I love the Hilton Garden Inn Sea World. You can walk to Sea World from there. They have a shuttle too. They have a very nice small pool area and jacuzzi with plenty of lounge chairs and towels. The heated pool is very warm too, which I love. I stayed here for a three night Sea World get away in October and am coming back for another three night stay in March. The food from room service and the resturant for lunch and dinner is tasty and reasonable too. Rooms also offer a microwave and dorm sized refrigerator. Staff is super friendly and helpful. There are packages that include two Sea World tickets from the hotel website, if you don't have a flex pass. They also have breakfast packages, which you might want to do if you aren't doing the Sea World package (also on the hotel website) -- otherwise breakfast is expensive ($12 for hot breakfast // $8 for continental). Parking is free. Ocassionaly too rooms go on sale (not packages) but room only on Expedia. If you need two beds, note though, that they have doubles not queens. Even at full price, this place is a good deal, cheaper than the other properties that are walking distance to Sea World and very nice (a three star property in good shape). I was very satisfied, am going back for a second stay in March, and highly recommend this property.

When I booked in October I paid $130 a night for a Sea World package that included two free Sea World tickets. The Renaissance on their hotel website when I checked was much more expensive -- about $230 a night.

When I went to Orlando last November I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn, too! It was very nice and it's not far to SeaWorld. I walked there, but they also offered a free shuttle service! If I go back to Orlando I'd definately stay there again!

The Hilton Grand Vacations @ Seaworld is nice if you fancy a bit of extra space :thumbsup2

You can also try The Red Roof in it is within walking distance of red lobster, denny's etc. I was pleased with the room if you looking for a good deal. We stayed therenew years eve. Also right across from Convention Center
