Hi guys im looking for recomendations for a hotel in the disney/orlando area for a quick 1 night stay in may 2012, not looking for anything really flash, just a decent hotel for a night before we move on to disneys old key west. Cheers

Four Points by Sheraton on International Drive is one of our favourites and very reasonably priced! :thumbsup2 Its a good location within walking distance of loads of restaurants too! Also within walking distance (we walk it anyway if we stay there) of CityWalk!

What date in May, I will see if I can see any offers. Whats teh max price you want to pay?
I never tie myself to a hotel, always see whats the best offer at the time I want to book.
Do you have any American Airline miles? we just stayed at Holiday Inn DTD for 3 nights free using airmiles, great way to use them before we lost them.

Thats a great idea!! Id not even tought of that! just checked and its £73 for pop, think im going to go for that!!! worth the few extra £££ :cool1:

Not a fan of the values myself but others like Paul enjoy them, for that kind of money I would be looking at 5 star offsite,
eg the various Hilton Grand Vacations Clubs will cost around £60/nt or Peabody on Idrive similar price.
Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress just slightly more but still under £80/nt. http://grandcypress.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/rooms/room-description.jsp

The other mentioned above Four Points by Sheraton is available for about £33/nt.

cheers wayne, im going to put the options to my gf and let her decide as it will be her first trip to orlando so letting her choose whichever she likes the look of, I've stayed at pop twice myself and really liked it, would be staying there for the whole holiday if we didnt get such a great deal for Old Key west.

a room is a room at the end of the day if that room is on-site would stay there before anywhere else,
And if flying into MCO can use ME to a value and back from a DVc no problem
So no need for car hire or the cost of a taxi return

I agree Paul, it all depends on personal circumstances, we always have a car and don't like the value resorts so might as well have 5* offsite for same money as a value. If you want to take advantage of ME then £73 in a value is a bargain compared to using a taxi from the airport.:thumbsup2

The GF has decided on POP for the first night, then onto OKW for 14 nights and Finally a night at Hard rock over at universal!! Roll on may 2nd :cool1:
