Do I pick POFQ or the Dolphin for the other half of my April 2010 trip? They each have their advantages. I love being close to DTD, the boat make it so easy and fun to go there in the evenings. Of course the Dolphin is lovely and it is so easy for Epcot and DHS. I like the Dolphin, but I love POFQ. A drawback about the Dolphin is the eating situation. I liked the Fountain, but they aren't open for breakfast. I wasn't that fond of Picabu, and Fresh is just too much everyday for breakfast. I did like the chocolate milk at Picabu. I can't remember the name of the dairy. I know it starts with "V" and they had the same milk on the cruise. I do love a well made chocolate milk. Maybe they have the same brand at Publix.

I do have a while to decide. I wonder how much Disney is going to raise hotel rates this year?

My wife and I spent the second half of our honeymoon at POFQ, after some "difficulties" with Carribean Beach, and we loved it, in fact we were enjoyed PO much better, biggest disadvantage though is the fact that you really are close to any of the theme parks, and you have te rely on the buses, but I like the atmosphere alot better, have never been to Dophin to give you any advice there, however I have spoken to many that have and they loved it there, and the advantage there is that you are closer to Epcot & the Studios, oh don't forget you are close to the Boardwalk. Either way I don't think you'll be disappointed, remember it is Disney!!!! Enjoy!!!

I LOVE staying at the Dolphin - it feels like a Deluxe but at a moderate (or cheaper) price. The dining options are enormous over there with so many restaurants among all the hotels in the area. Access to two parks via walking or short boat ride is nice, and the Heavenly Beds are exceptional! It isn't a true Disney resort, which can be a plus or minus. Not sure if magical express is part of your vacation, but it won't be at the Dolphin. We always think the positives outweigh the negatives there, and getting some of their rates (i.e $119 this summer with DIS119 or the standard Teachers/Gov't EEs rate) make it a no-brainer for us.

We are POFQ lovers- have stayed there most of our visits. But we did the Dolphin pre and post podcast cruise and at the price offered it made us believers. We are 2 adults and found picking up a light breakfast at Picabu's and zipping out to the boat so convenient. My husband uses a scooter and the boat was a lot easier to board and get off than the buses. I don't know if we were just lucky but both times we took the bus- to MK and AK we had little wait on either end. We have Tables in Wonderland and taking the boat over to either the Beach Club or Boardwalk gave us many food choices. We did miss going to Downtown Disney. You won't miss with either choice. I really disliked the $10.00 a day additional charge to get 2 bottles of water and use the phone and internet. Since the only thing we used was the water- and to get it cold you had to raid the minibar-.but the beds are great and the rooms are nice and bright. We will definately stay there again if the price is right.
