Hotel Confirmation?

I normally don't call and confirm but I booked 9 months in advance this time. We've stayed at the hotel we're staying at previously so I'm not too worried..but I do think I want to call and confirm. When do you guys usually call to confirm a room for an upcoming trip. Our stay begins 2/21. Thank you in advance for any input!

Did you get an online confirmation? I always get them to send me that and never confirm by phone.

I did get the confirmation through Priceline/Booking.com, so I have that, and usually that's just all I go by, I print a copy out for check in just in case there's a problem, but since I booked so far in advance, I wasn't sure if I should call and confirm or not.

Do you normally book far in advance?

Just saw where you were from and you probably do book I advance or at least somewhat. >.< Might've been a goofy question, lol.

I book as soon as I can. I've already booked for Jan 3-8 next year. Is that far in advance?

I do book directly with the hotel, however - so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Maybe just shoot them an email with Priceline booking confirmation? Do you have a room request or anything that you can use as a pretext for confirming your booking? That is my sneaky way.

I always call and confirm, usually about a week or two before. That's when I request a top floor. I've never had anyone mind confirming our stay. That's what they do! I often make reservations way in advance, too.
