Hotel/Condo Suggestion

We are starting to plan a trip to the World for Dec 2007. We have never stayed off site before but since we are traveling with my entire family I think we should. Our group consists of 7 adults and 8 kids ranging from 2-12years. We would like to stay within connecting rooms because the kids like to sleep together alot. We would like to be close to Disney but we are planning to visit SeaWorld also. Thanks for the suggestions.

We have gone to the Emerald Island pool homes two or three times now with a large group, and it was lovely. Everyone had a great time hanging out on the first level of the house, but had their own space for sleeping and getting ready, etc. They're close to everything, and there is a nice grocery store nearby. We looked into condos and we had a hard time finding something cheaper. I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but hope this helps.

I haven't stayed at either of these, but Cypress Pointe Resort/Cypress Pointe Grande Villas and Vistana Resort seem to get very high marks and are only about a mile from Downtown Disney (also very accessible to Sea World). We'll be staying at CPGV in December for the first time. They have one, two, and three bedroom condos at CP.

That said, we usually rent a house. You could get a really nice one that would hold everybody and still not have any trouble getting to Sea World (just not quite as close as Lake Buena Vista). If you do check on a house (there are lots of links listed in some of the other threads on this board, such as www.vrbo.com and www.windsorhillsrent.com), be sure it has a large pool and plenty of seating to accomodate your number of family members.
