Hotel codes?

Can someone explain exactly what the hotel codes are and where they are located at? Who are they available for? We're planning a visit in July, with 5 kids and will need 2 rooms...so I can use all of the discounts that I can find! Thanks!

The resort codes come out at various times of the year for various groups of people (i.e. Floridia residents, Annual Passholders, General Public), but codes are never a sure thing. Disney usually offers codes to help fill its rooms at the resort. Currently there are no codes out for July. When released Disney will advertise the general codes in the travel section of the newspaper (in MN it comes on Sundays) and on its website. Most all of the codes are 3 letters long be sure to write it down or memorize it becuase when you call for ressies you will need to tell them the code when asking about availablity. Keep your eyes here and on mousesavers.com for codes that may come out. Here is a list to previous codes that were released.

Thanks for your response...what about the 'name codes' that I've read about. A code attached to a person's name? What are these all about and how/where do you find them? THANKS!
