Hotel close to Gatwick - maybe with a pool?

Just browsing about Gatwick hotels as we wanna stay close the night before we fly, and we need somewhere that can provide 23 nights parking as we are going for 3 weeks.
Perhaps with a swimming pool so we can have a splash about before bed as we have done this before and it was a really nice start to our holiday.
Any recomendations?
We will be travelling down to Gatwick from the M25, M23 so would prefer somewhere slightly north of the airport rather than having to drive right past it only to have to come back the next morning.

It hasn't got a pool but when we parked for 23 nights in February we stayed at the Sofitel Gatwick. It was a fabulous way to start our holiday and now my husband won't stay anywhere else!

The room was huge for our family of four (soon to be five thanks to the 'Magic of Disney'!!!), and the convenience of being able to just walk through tunnel to terminal to check in the night before plus the relaxed start to the travelling day - being able to eat breakfast, go back to the room, shower and change and return everything not needed to the car, a short walk away, was worth every penny.

On the return, it's just a short walk through tunnel to hotel, collect keys, walk to car (one minutes walk away) and straight onto the road which was great, especially as we have a 5.5/6 hour drive home!

I had been looking at the Sofitel.
Would you mind me asking how much you paid for a family room and 23 nights parking?

Oh yes the Sofitel looks really nice and a great start to the holiday, so I'd be interested in a rough price too. I had a quick look and it looked like they only offer 14 nights parking but I'm sure that can't be right as loads of people go for longer. We're going for 21 nights in sep-oct 2013 and I'm desperate to get planning/booking but have restrained myself to just the accommodation so far!
Thanks x

look at the Gatwick Hilton as well..they always do Stay, Park and Fly packages. The most they do is 14 days as well so you will need to pay the extra. The Gatwick has had all its rooms rennovated recently and if you are flying VA then its the best one for that terminal and is attached to the terminal by a walkway. TBH we found it often works out cheaper to find the parking separately. You can often find 65% discounts. I much prefer the Hilton to the Sofitel, I found the rooms a bit claustophobic and the room we was in had something rather unsavoury on the headboard!...

Sorry, I don't know why I thought we stayed 23 nights! It was only 18 nigts in February and I believe that we payed £230 for hotel and parking. It does always state 14 nights, but you just pay extra per additional night needed, that wasn't a problem at all.

We flew BA so we were at the North terminal, however the South terminal was only a 2 minute monorail ride. We ate at South terminal the night before as the children wanted to go to Giraffe!!!

Thanks for the congrats re; Disney baby! I'm already planning it's first trip next year!! Now we have to start looking at more expensive rooms on site that cater for a family of five!!!!!

Cool, thanks. And congrats.

If you stay at either of these hotels you could get separate parking at the long stay car park (super saver offers are really cheap), catch the shuttle bus to the terminal then walk to the hotel from there (in the south terminal there's a tunnel that leads straight to the Hilton).

When I did the maths it was a fair bit cheaper than parking with the Hilton direct, and given all the scandals about valet style parking and the employees using the clients cars, I'd much rather park up my car myself and keep the keys.

when we flew from Gatwic we stayed at the Sofitel, it was a lovely hotel & we'd stay there again.

We flew from Heathrow in March & needed over 3 weeks parking. We booked a secret hotel from Holiday Extras which included the parking. We got a great deal & ended up at the Crown Plaza which was lovely.

We've stayed at Ifield court before which was fine (they book taxis to run you to the airport). It doesn't have a pool though.
